I moved to Swallowfield in 1996 to be in the countryside and proceeded to commute to work from the village for the next 25 years. Only once retired did I discover what a delightful part of the world this really is. It was then that I realised how much other people have done to keep it that way and I joined the Parish Council to help.
In my working life I specialised in behavioral modelling and ended up as Chief Data Scientist for a marketing software company. My retirement was perfectly timed (by accident, not design) as my role was being replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) software!
I am a very active cyclist with the Swallowfield Velo Club whose rides take in much of the beauty of Central & West Berkshire.
Located in Berkshire and part of the borough of Wokingham, the parish of Swallowfield consists of the villages and settlements of Swallowfield, Riseley, Farley Hill and Stanford End. Swallowfield Parish Council has nine councillors.
