I was delighted to join the Parish Council in 2021, having lived in and around the local area since 1995. What a beautiful place it is, with a strong sense of community.
I am a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and work in marketing and communications for a leading law firm.
I am vice chair and the lead councillor for communications and the environment, and have worked on projects including our new newsletter and website, improving waste management and recycling at our premises, our IT provision and the future of our local bus service.
I thoroughly enjoy attending local events ranging from the annual litter pick through to Sparks in the Park, the Swallowfield Show, the Church Fete and Swallowfield Open Gardens, and wasn’t MaxStock great! As a family we are members of Riseley Tennis Club too.
For nearly six years I was treasurer and a trustee of Swallowfield Pre-School and I have worked voluntarily with Young Enterprise Berkshire. I am currently a governor at Grazeley Parochial Primary School.
I am passionate about the environment and living more sustainably and since 2018 have run an online community, whilst continuing to write on the subject and feature on local radio.
You may spot my family and I litter picking along the Basingstoke Road or enjoying the park at Swallowfield - please do say hello and I look forward to meeting and getting to know more of you in time.
Located in Berkshire and part of the borough of Wokingham, the parish of Swallowfield consists of the villages and settlements of Swallowfield, Riseley, Farley Hill and Stanford End. Swallowfield Parish Council has nine councillors.
